The European Universities Association
The European Universities Association stands for and support the higher education institutions from 46 countries, offering them a unique forum of cooperation and informing about the newer trends on higher education and research policies.

The members of the Association are European Universities involved in teaching and research, rector’s national associations
or other higher education and research active organizations.
EUA came out of the fusion between the European Universities’ Association and the European Union Rectors Association, which happened in
Salamanca
,
, on March 31 2001.
As expertise center for higher education and research, the Association supports the Universities by:
Support policies promoting for Universities and other higher education institutions, in order to meet the requests of increasing expectations regarding the European needs for developing a “knowledge society” , using previous knowledge and experience, by project stimulating private institutions;
Consolidating the executive government, leadership and institutional management;
Developing partnerships inside higher education and research domain between urope and the rest of the world, in order to consolidate the European Universities position inside the global context.
